Performs responsible professional work and provides research support for community based health promotion intervention research projects. Plans, develops, coordinates, schedules and conducts health education using face to face and telephone. Maintains and organizes records of all participants involved and provides details of contact. Assists in designing a plan for collecting and analyzing information. Additional responsibilities include: data analysis and report preparation, literature reviews, public presentations and other forms of professional communications.

Plans, develops, coordinates, schedules and conducts health education using face to face and telephone.

Implements procedures and protocols that are in alignment with rules and regulations promulgated by the research program, Institutional Review Board and the funding agency (National Institutes of Health).

Maintains and organizes records of all participants involved and provides details of contact.

Assist in the preparation of project reports, research publications, and public presentations for both professional and lay audiences.

Assists in design and implements a plan for data collection and analysis.

Minimum education
Master's degree in health education or related field of assignment, with no additional experience; or a Bachelor's Degree in Health Education or related field with 2 years of related experience. Bilingual (Spanish and English) is REQUIRED to interact with study participants.

Preferred Qualifications
Must be able to communicate and interact tactfully with the study participants by expressing ideas clearly and concisely. Knowledge of current trends in health education techniques is required. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community research partners, staff and public health professionals. Knowledge of principles and practices of federal and state laws pertaining to research and public health as well as the structures and functions of public healthorganizations is required. Must be willing to travel and work some weekends and evenings. Must be able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish. Knowledge of statistical analysis and data management software such as SPSS, MS Excel and MSAccess.
